【英検5級】教室で使う場所の表現7選｜at the desk / by the door を覚えよう

英検5級の会話文や絵を見て答える問題では、「どこにいる？」「どこにある？」を表す短い場所の表現がよく使われます。
at the desk や by the door のように、前置詞と場所をひとまとまりで覚えると、英文の場面をすばやく想像できます。
この記事では、英検5級レベルの教室で使う場所の表現7つを、例文・親子練習・ミニ練習問題5問つきで紹介します。
場所は「前置詞＋名詞」で覚えよう

1. at the desk
at the desk は「机のところに」。人が机の近くで勉強している場面に合います。Ken is at the desk. と人物名を変えて練習しましょう。
2. by the door

3. in the classroom
in the classroom は「教室の中に」。I am in the classroom. のように、be動詞の後ろに置きます。
4. on the desk

5. under the chair
under the chair は「いすの下に」。The bag is under the chair. のように、探し物の場所を伝える文で使えます。
6. near the window
near the window は「窓の近くに」。near は by と同じく近さを表しますが、ぴったり横でなくても使えます。

in front of the board は「黒板の前に」。語が3つ続く in front of を一つのかたまりとして音読するのがコツです。
